Dawson's Flag Football

Dawson's been playing flag football with 3 of his friends from school. Here are some pictures. Dawson's the one on the ground in one of the pictures.

Jesse James and Kat Von D

Dustin and I went to a Halloween party in Friday night dressed as Jesse James and Kat Von D. When we came out of our room Hayden was so shocked he looked like he saw a ghost. He couldn't believe how much Dustin looked like Jesse James.

Halloween Mercado

Friday started the Halloween wirlwind. The kids had mercado at school and had to dress up for school.

While we were in Colorado...

While we were in Colorado for Fall Break... our electricity went out. When we got home, before I even unlocked the front door, I could smell a dead body. We went inside and started trying to hunt down the smell. The kids came home and someone mentioned the freezer. We went in the garage and there was blood and fat all under the freezer. It was the worst smell ever. We waited until the next morning and had to clean it out and then take the freezer to the dump. It took a week for the smell to go away.

Putting up Halloween Decorations

Here are some pictures of us putting up Halloween decorations.

San Diego - Sunday

Our last day we went back to old town and walked around the Mercado. We also went to SeaPort Village and sat in the shade. California had a heat wave and I think it was warmer in San Diego than in AZ.

San Diego- Padres Game

We also went to a Padres game while we were in San Diego.

San Diego- Teegan's 1st time at the beach

Here are some pictures of Teegan's first time at the beach. He liked the water even though it was cold and he had all the sand on his hands and got it in his mouth and all over.

San Diego- Mormon Batallion

We also went to old town and ate an awesome mexican restaurant. We then walked to the Mormon batallion exhibit that was just recently redone. Here are some pictures of Teegan panning for gold and pumping water.

San Diego- BOARDWALK

Teegan loved walking and running down the boardwalk. I took some of the cutest pictures of him when he found a rope he could swing on.

San Diego for my birthday-Joe's Crabshack

We went to San Diego for my birthday. It was great! We stayed on the boardwalk and we had lots of fun. These pictures are from Joe's crabshack and the Catamaran.

more pics of teegan's birthday

Teegan's Birthday party

Argg! We were all pirates at Teegan's birthday party! We had treasure box favors, a treasure hunt to pinatas at the park and swimming with a pirate ship. We had lots of fun pirates come and have fun with us! Here are the pictures.

August 9th was Teegan's 1st Birthday!

Teegy turned 1 on August 9th. We made him a cake to eat. He did not like it and ended up crying from the cake on his hands and the loud clapping.

Back to Utah- McKay Reunion

We braved it and drove all the way back to Utah to go to the Mckay Family Reunion. I have fond memories growing up riding horses and playing in the barn at the Rock House. The Rock House has been in our family for generations and it is next to David O. Mckay's home. The reunion is in Hunstsville UT, a small town that is pretty much inhabited by family members. Chad(mom's cousin) and Wendy own the rock house now. They had 8 boys and 2 girls. They are a fun family and our kids made friends with their kids easily. The kids slept anywhere from balconies to lofts and us adults all had a nice room and beds to sleep in. Thanks to the Mckays and kids for letting us take over. When we got there, they were swimming and i had to show the kids the huge tree swing. Friday night is the bonfire with food and a short program. We played volleyball and the kids did the zipline. Falling asleep with the windows open was nice and I could hear Dawson and Brigham talking about their schools. On Saturday we got up for breakfast and fun at Quinn and Shirley's. We also did a scavenger hunt that lead around Huntsville to the Cemetary, Summer house, and the pasture. Each destination we learned more about our family history. This was great although we were in a hurry. We didn't win : ( After that we all went to get ready to go to Barry's property for lunch and the water slide. The kids had a lot of fun at the water slide even though the water is pretty cold when it comes out of those big irragation pipes. We had to start home about 4 and the kids did not want to leave. They were all begging to come back next year. I am glad that we decided to drive all the way back to Utah for that day and half experience. We only have a few pics from swimming but I don't have pics from when I was little and I will never forget it.

Colorado

We do not have any pictures from Colorado. We got family pictures taken... they turned out so cute. The kids had fun hanging out and playing frisbee golf at the park. We also went swimming and played at the clubhouse.

Utah- Timpanogas Hike

Dustin woke up early and took all the kids that wanted to go on the hike at Timpanogas mountain. There is a cave to go through with a tour guide and everything. I, being pregnant, opted to stay home.

Utah- Picnic

We had a picnic at a cool camping ground at Mount Timpanogas (I think). The kids had fun exploring the woods and eating and talking.

Utah- Bowling

The family also went bowling together while we were in Utah. It was great fun... Grandpa and Grandma rented out a bowling ally and we had a movie going while we bowled. We had pizza and drinks and the kids played more video games. The kids never want to leave each other. Stella was doting on Teegan the whole time we were there. I love the way she says his name.
